Time Out Boxes

Aqua Systems Time Out Boxes enable you to upgrade your alarm systems, to increase it's security. many alarm systems are turned off for periods whilst tanks are flushed, graded etc., the failure to turn them on again is one of the most common reasons for fish kills.

Time Out Boxes enable you to isolate a single channel of the panel for a pre-set time, after which it will automatically reconnect. There should therefore be no need to ever turn the alarm panel off for routine operations.!

Q - What is meant by the term 'Fail-Safe', and how do I make my system fail-safe?

A - A 'Fail-Safe' alarm system generally means that there is a closed circuit around all the alarms when the system is normal (ie. there is a current flowing through the wire). This is used on most alarm systems because if a wire is damaged in the system it will give an alarm as the circuit will be broken. Most DC alarm components can operate on a fail-safe mode and just need the wires changed around. However, please check with the manufacturer first.
