Time out Box Order No's
* Other voltages are available ** Note - Time Out Box functions only on systems which operate on a 'fail-safe' circuit (see below) |
| Q - What is meant by the term 'Fail-Safe', and how do I make my system fail-safe? A - A 'Fail-Safe' alarm system generally means that there is a closed circuit around all the alarms when the system is normal (ie. there is a current flowing through the wire). This is used on most alarm systems because if a wire is damaged in the system it will give an alarm as the circuit will be broken. Most DC alarm components can operate on a fail-safe mode and just need the wires changed around. However, please check with the manufacturer first. |
