Ultra Fine Bubble Diffusers

These are the finest diffuser in the world for use where pure gases e.g. oxygen, ozone and carbon dioxide etc. are used on a routine basis.

The diffusers are available in three different sizes.

Key Features

Incredibly small bubbles. The heart of the new design is a diffuser with a circular center tube, which transports the gas through to the flat surface. This gives the diffuser an incredible high pressure rating capable of withstanding pressures up to 10 bar (145psi). Normal operating pressure is 4-5 bar (60 – 70psi)

Corrosion Proof The ceramic diffuser is not simply a copy of the most common flat plate aluminium housed designs but a completely new design. The materials used in the diffusers assemblies are all plastic making these suitable for marine applications or other corrosive environments.

Tough As well as damage from over pressure on flat plate diffusers the next most likely cause of damage is dropping or knocking ceramic diffusers. This design overcomes this problem with soft rubber impact bumpers on the ends. The ends are also provided with fixings holes for attachment to frames or transport tanks.

Flexibility The diffusers are made in standard lengths, which can be screwed together to any length to form a long slender curtain of incredibly fine bubbles. The standard diffuser is 330mm long and has 250cm² of active area that can pass 4 litres of oxygen per minute.

Low Pressure Diffusers

  • Available in up to 20m lengths. It requires a pressure of 3.0 psi to produce a fine curtain of bubbles, typically in the range of 500-1500 microns. The tube collapses and seals when not in use, preventing bio-fouling.
  • It is ideal for aeration in channels, raceways and ponds. It can also be cut into lengths to produce smaller individual diffusers.
  • This PVC tube does not deteriorate like some of the other rubber diffusers on the market particularly where pure oxygen is used.
  • The tube has two sections one for the gas to be diffused and the other to carry a weight. This weight can be galvanised or stainless steel wire rope, it can also be screwed to tank bottom or filled with sand or gravel.

The male threaded ends on the some diffusers enables easy connection by rigid pipe, so that they can be easily built up to the required level of diffuser surface area, for large ponds or tanks and also enables better distribution.

Airstones for Oxygen and Ozone

For ozone, use diffusers with the suffix CP or SS as these are with ozone resistant fittings (cPVC and 316 stainless steel).

This range of diffusers are of a finer pore size than the air diffusers, and as a result require a slightly higher pressure to operate.

OS 1-8 diffusers have push on/ pull off connections, OS 9-19 diffusers have male threaded connection

Air / Oxygen Tubing

This pvc tubing supplies a curtain of bubbles much finer than other tubular diffusers available n the market. A low pressure requirement combined with optional self weighting and a membrane that closes when no air is blown through, resulting in limited fouling of the tube makes this the diffuser of choice for applications such as raceways, ponds and emergency diffusion for all water bodies.
