Biostart

A bacterial gel which speeds up the maturation process for biological filters.

Biostart contains nitrifying organisms for bio-chemically oxidising ammonia and nitrite in aquaculture applications. Naturally occurring nitrifying bacteria are notoriously subject to poisoning and inhibition from a wide variety of sources, including variable water quality parameters. Once compromised in a recirculation system, extended periods of time are required to regenerate nitrifiers, which can lead to build up of ammonia and nitrite in the water. Biostart speeds up the restarting of a biofilter by providing an immediate source of nitrifying microbes.

Expiration	Use gel within 6-8 months of receipt.
General Dose Rate	Add 1 pack Biostart per 1900 m3 water. Repeat dosage 5 days after initial application at the same rate

* CAUTION *
Biostart is NOT a 'Quick Fix' for high ammonia levels and should not be expected to immediately reduce high ammonia or nitrite concentrations
