Degassers

Degassers can be used to remove supersaturated nitrogen from borehole, pumped or heated water supplies or to remove carbon dioxide from borehole water / partially circulated water.

Vacuum Degasser for Supersaturated Nitrogen

Aqua Systems vacuum degassers are constructed from PVC and are designed for a flow range of 550 litres per minute.

Water trickles through the degasser where it's flow is broken up by a randomly packed media. This results in a very thin film of water from which gas can easily escape. The vacuum inside the filter increases the rate of gas escape.

Vacuum degassers are used for supersaturated nitrogen removal, as it is important to reduce gas levels to <102% to avoid problems associated with elevated gas pressure in water. A vacuum pump is provided as an integral part of the system.

Degasser for High Carbon Dioxide Concentrations
The construction of the Nitrogen and CO2 degassers are the same. However, CO2 removal requires a large volume of air instead of a vacuum. The unit is supplied complete with it's own fan.
