Ozone Generators
A range of small to large ozone generators to suit applications from aquariums to commercial systems
What is Ozone? Ozone is a form of oxygen (chemical symbol O3). It is produced either by special ultra violet lamps, or more commonly. by passing dried air or oxygen across an electrically charged plate. It is one of the strongest oxidant disinfectants known. When it is dissolved into water, ozone is an extremely efficient biocide. It also oxidises many chemical compounds, breaking them down into simpler forms, which can then be easily removed (e.g.: by biofiltration) and removes the water discoloration, which can build up in recirculation systems. The Sterilisation capabilities of ozone are dependant on a number of factors; ozone concentration and retention time are the primary factors, but water quality factors (such as BOD and nitrite) also have a bearing on the amount of ozone required to achieve the required sterilisation levels. The use of a REDOX controller, to constantly monitor the outlet of an ozone contact system is imperative. This is because changes in the water quality, will affect the amount of ozone left for sterilising the water. We supply a range of ozone contact units to suit small aquariums systems and commercial water quality ozonenation and sterilisation units. The contact systems are rated by flow - check the table below for the system to suit you. As ozone sterilisation is often such a vital component of a system design contact us for advice if required. |
Complete System |
| Ozone or U.V. Ozone is better than chemical dosing as after it has been put in the water to perform its tasks, it can be easily removed (e.g. by degassing). It leaves no undesirable taints, odours or colours in the treated water. UV is effective against most pathogens but is not as complete a biocide as ozone. UV systems can also be subject to fluctuating output, caused either by fouling or diminishing light emmitance. Ozone also has the additional qualities, of breaking down compounds as indicated above.

* NOTE: Air fed ozone generators need an air compressor and air fed dryer unit. |
| Aquarium Ozonisers |
| Small ozone units for aquaria help maintain water quality and reduce the build up of water discoloration. All the units are air supplied and the incorporation of an air dryer (below) is essential for the operation of the unit. |

| Large Commercial Ozone Generators | |
| The CFS range of commercial ozone generators incorporate the latest technology in a compact package and encompass all of the major features of large industrial ozone generators. | ![]() |
| Compact Design - CFS units have dimensions typically less than half those of rival generators | |
| Integrated Controls - Accepts 4-20mA inputs to maintain ozone concentrations in your water at the level that you want it, and is alarmed in the event if unit failure | |
| Simple Installation - Can be installed using standard components from this | |
